Reiki Training

Recently, I have been giving much thought to the American approach to Reiki training. I admit that it disturbs me to some degree. People who want to learn Reiki as a tool for self-improvement and to give treatments to family and friends are served well enough by one-day and weekend trainings for each level. But for people who want to become skilled practitioners and teachers, a more in-depth and responsible training program may better serve the student. Becoming a spiritual healer should be a serious pursuit. Over the next couple of weeks I will post what I think is a suitable and reasonable approach to training Reiki practitioners.
