The Reiki Peace Order
The Rule of the Order
(how a monk should conduct himself in daily life and practice)
The Mission - to practice that all beings may find peace, healing and liberation from suffering
To take vows and commit one's self to the Way of Peace is to change the manner in which one approaches the living of life. The following Rule is intended to guide the monk in living out her vows.
Above all things the monk is committed to the cultivation of peace and wholeness in her life and in the world around her. To this end the monk must practice the three pillars daily. The precepts recited throughout the day, meditation engaged in the morning and the evening, and Reiki sent to those requesting healing and to all beings, this is the heart of the Rule. Reiki is the transmission of Divine Light and Love to all beings. As a monk your practice will transform you into a vessel and conduit of healing graces to all beings.
The Religious nature of the Order and Ordination
The order is religious. It is not theological or doctrinal. It is a practice-based religious order driven by a philosophical outlook that the earth and all her beings are in need in peace, healing and liberation from suffering. Ordination is not the act of granting power over others or power within institutional structures. It is the witness and recognition of the monk’s commitment to practice for the peace, healing and liberation of all beings. It is the setting aside of the monk as a person whose life is committed to the spiritual ideals of Reiki and peace. It is the public affirmation of vocation, the public commitment to the precepts of the Order and the consecration to religious life. The monk takes the five precepts and vows to practice daily and fulfill the precepts to the best of his/her ability. The monk is servant and the monk is a priest. The monk serves as led, whether that is in solitary daily practice or group practice or as leader of a formation group, healing collective, congregation, etc.
Reiki is the empowering force of the ordination and the practice. It is the method for practice. It is the vehicle for peace, healing and liberation from suffering.
The Five Precepts taken by all Monks of the Order:
For today I will not be angry
I vow to cultivate peace in my life and in the world around me.
For today I will not worry
I vow to trust in the way of things.
For today I will give thanks
I vow to celebrate all things as blessing.
For today I will do my work honestly
I vow to live with integrity in all my relations.
For today I will be kind to all beings.
I vow to practice that all beings may find peace, healing and liberation from suffering.

mark, so good to see your wise and thoughtful words...i have recently felt more of an urgency surrounding my practicing reiki as so many (including myself) are in need of continual healing. i continue to love the 5 priniciples and jeremiah and i often repeat them in the evening as he is going to bed as i have been trying to integrate a routine with him and in my practice. he also gives me some "reiki love" and his intention is powerful...
i look forward to being reminded and informed by your blogging ventures!
